Today is the first day of the winter quarter at Washington, and the Huskies have announced that two members of the Class of 2013 are enrolled and will participate in spring practice — quarterback Troy Williams and safety Trevor Walker.
The transfer of Sample, from Grant High in Sacramento, had been rumored for a while. He was one of the marquee players in UW’s Class of 2011 but battled shoulder injuries throughout his career and played sparingly. He was listed as playing in three games this season but did not record any statistics. Sample was a high school teammate of Shaq Thompson.
Rodgers was a true freshman this season, a graduate of Tesoro High in Coto de Caza, Calif. He redshirted this season while battling a knee injury.
This news presumably means every other player on the roster is enrolled.
