— The final ESPN 300 for the Class of 2013 is out and it includes five players committed to UW — WR Damore’ea Stringfellow at 51, DT Elijah Qualls (117), WR Darrell Daniels (150), QB Troy Williams (173), DE Joe Mathis (267).

Bishop Sankey made ESPN.com’s Pac-12 blog All-Bowl Team.

Jon Wilner has UW 25th in his early Top 25 for 2013.

— Offensive lineman Nico Falah of Bellflower, Calif., is down to USC and UW.

— A Wall Street Journal article notes how much of a fan Microsoft CEO and prospective Sonics co-owner Steve Ballmer¬† is of UW football.

— The ESPN chat wrap includes a thought on the UW-Boise State game next year.

— Nice feature in the San Jose Mercury News on former UW DB Dashon Goldson, now with the 49ers. He’s one of two UW alums remaining in the playoffs — Jermaine Kearse with the Seahawks is the other.

Phil Steele also has UW at 100-1 to win the national  title next y ear.

— One computer poll has Notre Dame No. 1.
