Tuesday night links
Just enough notes and links out there to throw together a little blog. So here we go. …
— A few of you have asked for an update on Kylie Fitts, the defensive end who decommitted from USC when the Trojans said he couldn’t enroll early, as planned, which made his high school coach not that happy. Fitts visited UW in November and is thought considering the Huskies. But the favorite to most is UCLA, which he is visiting this weekend. He also reportedly will visit Notre Dame next week and another school the following week. So a decision is likely not coming from him until close to signing day, which seems to be the case for almost everyone left on UW’s board. (The LA Times has a bit more on Fitts here, as well as a look at USC’s recruiting class).
— ESPN.com’s Kevin Gemmell reviews UW’s season and gives the Huskies a C.
— Jon Wilner takes a shot at projecting next year’s All-Pac-12 team and includes Bishop Sankey, Kasen Williams, Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Shaq Thompson.
— Former Husky Bruce Harrell, a member of the 1978 Rose Bowl champs, is running for mayor of Seattle.
— Jim Michalczik, who for a few weeks in 2008-09 was a part of Steve Sarkisian’s initial staff, has been hired as the offensive line coach at Arizona.
— Former Husky player and assistant coach Ron Milus won’t be back as the defensive backs coach for the Broncos.
— The LA Daily News reports it got a little contentious in USC’s locker room following the Sun Bowl.
