Tuesday links — Live recruiting chat at noon
I’ll start this morning with another reminder of our live chat today focusing on recruiting. The chat will feature Seattle Times high schools reporter Jayson Jenks, and Brandon Huffman, a national college football recruiting analyst for Scout.com/Fox Sports.
The perfect time to get your recruiting questions answered before letter-of-intent day next Wednesday.
IN OTHER NEWS. …
— Tosh Lupoi and UW commit Elijah Qualls are mentioned in an ESPN story 0n the upcoming changes in recruiting rules.
— Defensive end Kylie Fitts of Redlands, Calif., told Scout.com that he had his in-home visit with UW coaches Monday and is still considering UW. He will visit Utah this weekend and is also considering USC, UCLA and Notre Dame.
— Several different reports that both of the twins Tyree and Tyrell Robinson will visit UW this weekend. They are considered as committed to Oregon but re-opened their recruitment after Chip Kelly left. UW had been on their list initially.
— Speaking of Jenks, he wrote a nice story today on Auburn Riverside basketball guard Derek Brown. The Sean O’Laughlin mentioned in the story is the same Sean O’Laughlin who later punted for UW and still works with the football team as a security guard.
— 49er safety Dashon Goldson is the lone Husky in the Super Bowl. He’ll be a free agent at the end of the season, as well.
— Rivals.com examines how early commits can leave everyone twisting in the wind later.
