Friday update — Former UW commit Long finds a new home, and more

A couple of notes to pass along this afternoon. …

— One-time UW commit Sammie Long will instead sign with Colorado State, according to Rivals.com. Here’s the backstory on Long and UW, and as you can read, Colorado State at that time was thought a possible landing spot.

Mason Kelley of ESPN’s HuskyNation is among those reporting that Bellevue LB Myles Jack will  not take any visits anywhere this weekend. Said Kelley in his Tweet: “Just spoke to Myles Jack’s mother. He is still solid to UCLA. Will not visit FSU. No trips, official or unofficial, scheduled at this point.” That likely won’t stop the rumors and there will be conjecture on this one until his letter is received somewhere. But that’s where it stands for now. SBNation says to expect Jack to stick with UCLA.

— Here are some recruiting updates from PacificTakes.

— ESPN’s Pac-12 blog ponders whether Chip Kelly got too much credit for Oregon’s success.
