Monday links — Trufant talks at combine, and more

Spring  may still be a few weeks away, but spring football is suddenly right around the corner. UW will  hit the field for the first time a week from Tuesday. We’ll help you get prepared for it by finishing our series of pre-spring position reviews this week. We also will  host a live chat with UW coach Steve Sarkisian on Wednesday at noon

Desmond Trufant talked to the media at the NFL Combine Sunday. Here’s a report from Danny O’Neil. Trufant also mentioned in this ESPN story.

— Trufant has yet to work out — that comes Tuesday for defensive backs. But lots of other Pac-12 players have and ESPN has the results here.

— Cal starts spring ball today and the San Jose Mercury News has a preview on the Bears, one of five conference teams the Huskies will host next season.

— Stanford also starts spring drills today with one goal being to find a new left tackle with David Yankey moving to guard.

— PacificTakes has some updates on Pac-12 recruiting.

— USC has finally finished hiring its staff, but Ted Miller notes it’s still unclear who will call the plays.

— Athlon’s continues its breakdown of 2013 recruiting classes with Oregon.

Gregg Doyal of CBSSports.com says the NCAA is losing the right to judge anyone.
