A couple of quick things to pass along. …
— It had been thought Kasen Williams and Greg Ducre might compete in a last-chance meet this week to quality for the NCAA Indoor championships. Instead, neither did. However, Jaydon Mickens did, running a 7.09 in the 60. By comparison, Ducre ran a 6.81 last week. All will now put the track shoes aside for a while with the Huskies beginning spring football practice Tuesday evening.
— The ESPN Pac-12 bloggers further defended their Top 25 picks on Friday.
— Athlon’s breaks down UW’s 2013 recruiting class.
— Former Husky Ryan Tolar is playing for the Tri-City Fever of the Indoor Football League. The Fever lost 42-38 to the Colorado Ice Friday.
— The contract details for Cal’s Sonny Dykes were revealed Friday and he will earn $9.7 million over five years. FWIW, Steve Sarkisian is due a guaranteed $2.55 million in 2013.
— Stanford’s defense may be experienced, but it has concerns, says the San Jose Mercury News.
— Good story on Colorado coach Mike MacIntyre.
