One of the more interesting what-might-have-beens? in UW history is Matt Tuiasosopo, the younger brother of Marques and Zach who signed with the Huskies as a quarterback in 2004, then decided to play baseball instead after being selected in the third round by the Mariners.
Tuiasosopo is no longer with the Mariners, and has been on and off major league rosters the last few years.
But it appears, as the 2013 season begins, that he will again be on a Major League roster, as it looks like he’s secured a spot with the Detroit Tigers. Here’s a story from the Detroit Free Press, and another putting it in perspective.
