Thursday practice notes and Justin Wilcox video

The Huskies are off the field following their Thursday morning practice on the East field.

It was a two-hour or so affair, and in full pads and under an intermittent light rain.

Not much full-contact, though, with the Huskies expected to scrimmage on Saturday.

No real big news, either. This was a day when we did not get to speak with UW coach Steve Sarkisian, so nothing to pass along from him.

We did get to talk to some defensive players and coaches, however, including defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox. His video is below as he speaks about the wide open free safety battle (which figures to be wide open for a while) and the defense adjusting to the offense’s increased up-tempo pace this spring:
