Times set for UW season opener, Apple Cup and UCLA game

Washington will open new Husky Stadium under the lights.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday Aug. 31 against Boise State. The season opener will be televised by on the new Fox Sports 1 network.

The Huskies return home after playing the 2012 season at CenturyLink Field. The 93-year-old Husky Stadium is undergoing a $250 million renovation, in which two-thirds of the stadium was torn down and rebuilt.

Times and TV information for two other UW games were announced Wednesday by the Pac-12 Conference.

The Huskies play at UCLA 6 p.m. Friday on Nov. 15. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

Washington ends the regular season on Friday Nov. 29 in the Apple Cup against cross-state rival Washington State. The game begins 12:30 p.m. on Fox television.

Earlier this month, the Big Ten Conference announced Washington’s game against Illinois at Soldier Field in Chicago will kick off at 3 p.m. PT and will air on the Big Ten Network.

The start times and TV information for all remaining games will be announced 6-12 days before each game.
