Happy Fourth everyone. Have fun and be safe out there.
There’s been a lot of reaction to Wednesday’s news that the Huskies will wear new gold chrome helmets at some point this season. Most of the responses have been positive, but there’s also a case to be made for those traditionalists who aren’t buying into the “new-age” style.
I’m curious what the responses will be for this poll:
Elsewhere, here’s the podcast of the KJR interview Steve Sarkisian did with the Dawgman crew on Wednesday.

It’s a wide-ranging discussion and worth a listen.
A few tidbits:
— Austin Seferian-Jenkins has a pre-trail hearing scheduled for July 15, and Sarkisian said he will determine further punishment for the junior tight end after that. “Hopefully we get some closure from a legal standpoint there,” Sarkisian said, adding that ASJ has been working out with teammates this summer.
— All of the injured players held out of spring practices have been given various degrees of clearance for the start of fall camp on Aug. 5. That includes OL Colin Tanigawa, RB Jesse Callier, DE Hau’oli Jamora and RB Deontae Cooper — all of whom are coming back from major knee injuries — and LB Travis Feeney, who had shoulder surgery.
— All of the incoming freshmen have been academically cleared and are scheduled to check in on campus Saturday. Sarkisian listed WRs John Ross, Damore’ea Stringfellow and Darrell Daniels, plus CB Jermaine Kelly, CB Patrick Enewally, TB Lavon Coleman and TE David Ajamu as true freshmen who have the best chance to make an “immediate impact.”
