Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott formally announced a conference-wide safety policy Friday that limits contact in football practices and increases recovery time for injured athletes.
Pac-12 teams will be limited to two full-contact practices per week.
The new rules have been agreed upon by conference coaches and will take effect this season.
Here’s the full text of the new rules.
Scott also says the conference remains at an impasse with DirecTV over broadcasting the Pac-12 Networks.
After meeting with DirecTV last week, Scott said, “It’s become clear they don’t intend to take the (Pac-12) network this year.”
