A fun interview with Steve Sarkisian on “Mitch in the Morning” today.
One week from right now, Sarkisian and several UW players will take part in a press conference at UW, a few hours before the first training camp practice that afternoon. “I don’t think I’ve ever been more energized for it,” Sarkisian said. “… I feel really good about this team.”
Of note, Sarkisian said he expects to finalize a decision on Austin Seferian-Jenkins this week, but it’s “more than likely” that a potential punishment for the junior tight end won’t be made public until the day of the season opener against Boise State on Aug. 31.
Elsewhere, after our look here the other day at the 20 freshmen on the roster, UW has updated the roster on its website, which included more recent weights for those freshmen.
On a personal note, my younger brother is getting married this weekend, and I’m the proud best man. We have a lot of family coming into town and it’s going to be a great, great week for all of us. I’m working on a couple stories for the paper this week, and I plan to post here periodically, but I won’t be checking the blog as regularly as I would normally. I’m absolutely looking forward to next Monday and getting the season started, and things on the blog will certainly pick up then. Thanks, and have a great week.
