USA Today just released its preseason coaches’ poll, the first major poll for the 2013 season, and Washington emerged in the “also receiving votes” category (with three).
Boise State is ranked No. 19. The Broncos and Huskies open the 2013 season at new Husky Stadium on Aug. 31.
Alabama received 58 of the 62 first-place votes and is No. 1 in the poll, followed by Ohio State, Oregon, Stanford and Georgia in the top five.
From the Pac-12, UCLA (21), USC (22) and Oregon State (25) are also ranked.
Coaches from Pac-12 voting in USA Today poll: Washington State’s Mike Leach, Oregon’s Mark Helfrich, Utah’s Kyle Whittingham, Arizona State’s Todd Graham, Arizona’s Rich Rodriguez and OSU’s Mike Riley. Boise State’s Chris Petersen also has a vote.
