The Huskies, predictably, had little trouble with FCS Idaho State, posting their first shutout since 2009 with a 56-0 win at Husky Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Here’s my game story, with this from UW coach Steve Sarkisian looking ahead to next Saturday’s Pac-12 opener against Arizona (3-0):

“I feel great about where we’re at. The goal is to win the Pac-12 North, and that journey begins next Saturday. These three wins are good for us, they’re good building blocks, a good foundation for the season. But the real season starts next Saturday.”

— From Percy Allen: Deontae Cooper‘s first touchdown caps a feel-good day for the Huskies.

— Our notebook: Bishop Sankey says his shoulder bruise is nothing to worry about.
