Washington starting left guard Dexter Charles left Saturday’s game against Oregon with what coach Steve Sarkisian said afterward was a “sore” shoulder.
On Monday, when asked if Charles would miss this week’s game at Arizona State, Sarkisian said “potentially, yes.”
Charles has started the last 17 games for UW at left guard. He was replaced Saturday by junior Erik Kohler, who was making his UW debut after breaking a bone in his foot over the summer.
Kohler started five games as a true freshman in 2010 and started all 13 games at right tackle in 2011. He suffered a knee injury against LSU in 2012 and missed the remainder of the season.
Sarkisian said Kohler would “probably” start at left guard if Charles was unable to go against ASU.
