UW’s Justin Wilcox: ‘Obviously, we got to do a better job’

Washington defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox on his film evaluation of the Huskies’ 45-24 loss to Oregon:

“Especially after a game like that, it’s the details of the assignments,” he said. “Obviously, we got to do a better job — I got to do a better job during the week preparing and helping our guys be successful. And then when we get on the field, we have to be successful and apply the things we worked on during the week. Whether we were a step out of position here or there against a team like that, when you’re a step late it’s gonna show up in a pretty big way.

“There were so good things on the tape. There were far too many errors. There’s a lot of plays we can point on where we could definitely have played better.”
