Washington is scheduled to interview Alabama offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier today and Boise State coach Chris Petersen on Friday, ESPN’s Brett McMurphy has reported.

Sources told The Seattle Times on Wednesday night that Petersen and Nussmeier has emerged as the apparent favorites. A source also confirmed that Petersen is scheduled to meet with UW on Friday.

“We are fully committed to Coach Petersen remaining at Boise State and, as always, intend to do everything in our power to support him as Boise State’s football coach,”¬†Boise State president Bob Kustra said Thursday in a statement.

UW’s top target to replace Steve Sarkisian was UCLA’s Jim Mora, who on Tuesday agreed to a six-year contract extension to stay in Los Angeles.
