Morning links: Huskies say they’ve learned their lesson after last year’s bowl loss

Morning everyone. Hustlin’ here before the end of practice at Husky Stadium. This is our last day of interviews with players before they depart for San Francisco, so trying to gather as many interviews as possible to carry us through until next week.

Chris Petersen, by the way, will not be attending the Fight Hunger Bowl, according to a UW spokesman. Petersen wants to stay out of the way as Marques Tuiasosopo and the rest of the staff finish this season.

A few links:

The Huskies are trying to get back to normal, despite the uncertainty lingering over assistant coaches.

— The Huskies say they weren’t prepared well enough before the Vegas bowl last year.

— The UW Daily wraps up the All-America honors for Bishop Sankey and Austin Seferian-Jenkins.

Some notes on Boise State coaches and recruits, including an interview with Newport tight end Drew Sample, who says he remains committed to the Broncos.

Texas A&M’s Marcel Yates will be the new defensive coordinator at Boise State. The Idaho Statesman previously reported that Pete Kwiatkowski, Petersen’s defensive coordinator at Boise, will join the UW staff (though it remains unclear in what role).

A big night for C.J. Wilcox as the Huskies defeated Tulane.

A cool behind-the-scenes story on UW volleyball as the Huskies prepare for the Final Four here in Seattle.

This is entertaining, from the Southern Illinois basketball coach.
