Huskies arrive in San Francisco for Fight Hunger Bowl week

The Huskies have arrived in San Francisco, five days before their Friday matchup against BYU in the Fight Hunger Bowl.

Here’s the bowl week schedule for UW:

Monday:
— Morning practice at San Francisco City College (closed to all)
— 1 p.m. press conference at AT&T Park (featuring Marques Tuiasosopo, Keith Price, Bishop Sankey and Hau’oli Kikaha)

Tuesday:
— Morning practice at San Francisco City College (closed to all)

Wednesday:
— Team visits and volunteers at Glide Memorial Church & Kitchen
—¬†Afternoon practice at San Francisco City College (closed to all)

Thursday:
— 11 a.m. Pep Rally at Union Square (open to public)
— Noon luncheon at Westin St. Francis (ticketed)
— 2:30 p.m. walk-through at AT&T Park (closed)

Friday:
— 6:30 p.m. kickoff at AT&T Park (ESPN)

Notes: All UW practices are closed to all. The only media availability will be at Monday’s press conference (plus postgame Friday). Tuiasosopo will also be available for a brief interview Thursday between the pep rally and luncheon at the Westin St. Francis. …¬†I will head to San Francisco on the evening of Dec. 25, along with columnist Larry Stone and photographer Dean Rutz. The limited media access, and the fact that Chris Petersen is not scheduled to be there, didn’t justify us leaving earlier and missing Christmas. We’ll have a freelance reporter covering Monday’s press conference.
