2014 UW football schedule released: Chris Petersen to open Pac-12 play against Stanford

New Washington coach Chris Petersen will make his Pac-12 Conference coaching debut against defending conference champion Stanford at Husky Stadium on Sept. 27.

The Pac-12 announced its conference schedule for the 2014 football season on Wednesday afternoon. Other notable games for the Huskies include an Oct. 18 trip to Oregon and Nov. 8 home game against UCLA.

As reported earlier this week, the Apple Cup will be held the Saturday after Thanksgiving, on Nov. 29 in Pullman.

There are no weekday games on the schedule. Note that for most games kickoff times and broadcast details are typically announced the week before the game.

UW’s 2014 schedule:
Aug. 30: at Hawaii
Sept. 6: vs. Eastern Washington
Sept. 13: vs. Illinois
Sept. 20: vs. Georgia State

Sept. 27: vs. Stanford
Oct. 4: Bye
Oct. 11: at Cal
Oct. 18: at Oregon
Oct. 25: vs. Arizona State
Nov. 1: at Colorado
Nov. 8: vs. UCLA
Nov. 15: at Arizona
Nov. 22: vs. Oregon State
Nov. 29: at Washington State

Here’s a look at the rest of the league’s schedule. The Pac-12 championship game will be played on Friday, Dec. 5.
