Isaiah Renfro, a four-star wide receiver, announced Saturday morning on Twitter that he has made a verbal commitment to the Huskies.
“It just felt like home to me,” Renfro said in a message to The Seattle Times. “I loved everything about it.”
Renfro, from Chatsworth, Calif., said he’s 6 feet 2, 195 pounds. He made a visit to the UW campus on Friday, and UW coaches have recruited him as a receiver.
According to his highlight video, Renfro had 71 catches for 1,302 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior for Sierra Canyon High last year, earning first-team honors to the California all-state junior team. He also had 55 tackles and one interception as a defensive back.
Renfro’s commitment comes less than two days tight end Michael Neal of Etiwanda, Calif., announced his commitment to the Huskies, who now have five known recruits committed for the Class of 2015: with Renfro, Neal, quarterback Jake Browning of Folsom, Calif.; O’Dea running back Myles Gaskin; and Wenatchee offensive lineman Trey Adams.
