UW freshmen get early start in summer school

Of the 24 signees in Chris Petersen‘s first recruiting class for the Huskies, 23 of those freshmen are enrolled for summer school and have begun workouts with the team.

Here are the 23 signees who are enrolled in UW’s Learn Experience Achieve Program (LEAP) this summer:

Offensive lineman Devin Burleson is the lone member of UW’s 2014 recruiting class not enrolled for summer school, and Dawgman’s Chris Fetters reports that Burleson will grayshirt this year.

UW also announced Wednesday that five preferred walk-ons have enrolled in the LEAP program:

Morgan Richey, OL, Bellevue, Wash. (Bellevue)

Scheduling notes: The Pac-12 media days will be held July 23-24 in Hollywood. The Huskies will host their own fall camp preview press conference on Sunday, Aug. 3, with the first (split) practice scheduled for 10 a.m. the next day; they will also practice at 4 p.m. that first day.
