Video: Marcus Peters on Washington’s inexperienced secondary

After the first workout at Washington’s football camp, junior cornerback Marcus Peters talked about the differences under new coach Chris Petersen.

Peters is now the old man in the secondary and he’s surrounded by three first-year starters. At this time, the rest of the starting secondary includes cornerback Jermaine Kelly and safeties Brandon Beaver and Trevor Walker.

“It’s no drop off,” Peters said about the inexperience in the secondary. “It’s next guy up. It’s always been that mentality here. The next guy has got to step up because there’s been so many great DBs here. We’re just expecting that.”
