An update on Huskies’ season-ticket sales

As of last week, Washington reported it had sold 43,398 season tickets for the 2014 football season, which is 92 percent of the 2013 total of 46,978.

Those figures do not include student-ticket sales.

The Huskies had the highest increase in home attendance of any FBS program in 2013, with an average of 68,769 fans for seven games at the new $280 million Husky Stadium.

UW averaged 58,617 fans for home games at CenturyLink Field in 2012. The average increase of 10,153 (17.3 percent) for 2013 was No. 1 among FBS programs.

New Husky Stadium has a capacity of 70,138. The Huskies open the season at Hawaii on Aug. 30, with the home opener scheduled for Sept. 6 against Eastern Washington.

Here are UW’s season ticket totals from the past four seasons:

2013: 46,978

2012: 41,193 (at CenturyLink Field)

2011: 42,231

2010: 44,593
