Washington redshirt freshman Jermaine Kelly, a starting cornerback in the Huskies’ first two games, is out for the rest of the season, a source confirmed to The Seattle Times.

UW radio host Bob Rondeau was the first to report Kelly’s injury Saturday morning.

The Huskies will play today with standout junior cornerback Marcus Peters, who is suspended after his sideline tantrum a week ago. Peters’ suspension and Kelly’s injury leave Huskies with four scholarships cornerbacks today: senior Travell Dixon and true freshmen Sidney Jones, Darren Gardenhire and Naijiel Hale.
