UW’s Travis Feeney on Stanford: ‘I love playing these guys’

[do action=”brightcove-video” videoid=”3801599743001″/]

Quotes from UW junior linebacker Travis Feeney after practice Tuesday:

(Stanford offense and big offensive line) “We just know it’s going to be a fight. They’re going to come down hill, they’re going to try power it, they’re going to try run. It’s going be a battle. It’s going to be a fight in the trenches. Whenever you play Stanford, that’s what you expect — you expect htem to try come down and overpower you. That’s what we’re going to have to match up against.”

(Is that an exciting matchup. You don’t see this style anywhere else in the Pac-12) “It’s exciting. I like it. I love playing these guys. It’s good to play real competitive games. We always have a close one.”

(Stanford’s elephant package — what can you do to prepare for that?) “Just game-planning it. We practice it out there in scout (periods), and the scouts give us a good look. Then we just practice our reps and making sure we’re getting the right fits all the time.”

(on game last year at Stanford) “It was an exciting game. We didn’t get the win, but it was a good, exciting game. I just always exciting playing the back-home team for me. I’m ready to go.”
