Video: UW offensive lineman Dexter Charles previews matchup with No. 16 Stanford

[do action=”brightcove-video” videoid=”3803656035001″/]

UW left guard Dexter Charles on Saturday’s matchup against Stanford:

(on Stanford defense) They’re big, strong, tough guys. They’re the same every year. They battle, they fight. We’ve got to move our feet, come off the ball strong and hard and fight ’em, because they’re coming after us.

(Is this a type of matchup you relish as a lineman?) “Oh yeah. You know it’s going to be a battle. It’s on us: We’ve got to move the ball. So we’re looking forward to it.”

(You have to be consistent, right? Not like it was against Georgia State?) “We just started way too slow last week, and we had to learn the hard way. I feel like we’ve been battling through practice. You can’t sleep on these guys. You can’t sleep on these guys. We have to start fast, come out strong, because we know they’re coming out the same way.”

(How is the offensive line gelling?) “I feel like we’re all playing really well together now. We’ve bonded the last couple years so we’ve had all that. Now, with the new system, I feel like we’ve all got it down and we’ve got the schemes down and we’re playing really well together.”
