UW GAME DAY

Huskies (5-2, 1-2) vs. No. 14 Arizona State (5-1, 3-1)
7:45 p.m. Saturday at Husky Stadium

TV: ESPN. Radio: KOMO AM-1000, FM-97.7.

LATEST LINE: ASU is favored by 3 points.

GAME PREVIEW: UW’s Troy Williams to make his starting debut; Deontae Cooper eager to rewrite his story.

PRESSURE’S ON: UW’s Hau’oli Kikaha (12.5) and Danny Shelton (7.5) have more combined sacks than any tandem in college football, and the Huskies are second in the nation with 3.9 sacks per game. Kikaha needs one sack to become UW’s all-team leader in that category. Arizona State, with 11, has allowed the fewest sacks in the Pac-12.

QB QUESTIONS: The Huskies aren’t the only team making a change at quarterback. Graham said senior Taylor Kelly would likely start against UW after missing the last six weeks with a foot injury. Junior Mike Bercovici filled in nicely since Kelly’s injury, leading ASU to victories over USC and Stanford.

RAIN, RAIN … : Rain is in the forecast Saturday night, but ASU coach Todd Graham isn’t concerned. “It won’t affect us at all,” Graham told reporters Thursday. “No one in my building ever says anything about the weather. A guy did one time, and he had to go get counseling.” In monsoon-like conditions at Husky Stadium last year, UW defeated Arizona, 31-13.

UW players to watch

QB Troy Williams: UW starting debut
RB Deontae Cooper: 5.2 yards per carry
RB Shaq Thompson: 9.3 yards per carry
S Budda Baker: 44 tackles

ASU players to watch
