Game report: Arizona State 24, Huskies 10

No. 14 ARIZONA STATE 24, WASHINGTON 10

Player of the game

Linebacker Shaq Thompson stepped in at running back for the Huskies and finished with 98 yards rushing on 21 carries. On Washington’s most effective drive, he had eight carries for 43 yards.

Play of the game

Washington was trailing 10-0 late in the third quarter when John Timu stepped in front of a Taylor Kelly pass at the Washington 37 and ran it back 63 yards for a touchdown.

Turning point

After Washington finally drew even at 10-10, the Huskies gave up a nine-play, 75-yard drive that was capped off by a 7-yard touchdown pass from Kelly to Gary Chambers with three minutes left.
