Game report: Huskies 31, Cougars 13

PLAYER OF THE GAME

Washington running back Dwayne Washington rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns against the Cougars. It was the third straight game Washington rushed for more than 100 yards, and in those games, he has scoring runs of 66, 68, 51 and 60 yards.

On UW’s second play from scrimmage, Washington ran for 51 yards to put the Huskies up, 7-0, with 12:24 left in the first quarter.

TURNING POINT

Ahead 14-0 to start the third quarter, the Huskies needed only 45 seconds to extend their lead thanks to Washington. He rushed for 4 yards on the first play, then broke off a 60-yard scoring run to make it 21-0 with 14:15 to go in the third quarter.

BY THE NUMBERS
