Ezekiel Turner, a safety from Los Angeles Pierce College, today signed his Letter of Intent with the Huskies and will enroll at UW in January, the school announced.
Turner, from Glen Burnie, Md., made a verbal commitment to the Huskies on Sunday. As a full qualifier out of high school, he has three years of eligibility remaining, with a redshirt season still available, too.
“I’m just blessed … and grateful,” Turner said. “The program, the academics; my relationship with the coaches; the professors I spoke with; the location, facilities, alumni — everything was perfect.
“Coach Lake and coach Petersen are just great, man. Those are the guys I want to play for.”
According to UW, Turner played seven of 10 games for LA Pierce College this season, posting 35 tackles and one interception, which he returned 80 yards.
A 6 feet 3, 200 pounds, he gives the Huskies depth for 2015 at a position that was extremely young and thin this season.
Blessed to be signing with Washington. I am officially a DAWG now. Congrats to all of the bros!! We made it✊ pic.twitter.com/S8B0Y6iEMK
