Washington seniors Travell Dixon, Micah Hatchie, John Timu and Andrew Hudson have committed to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl on Jan. 15, the NFL Players Association announced Monday.
Mike Holmgren and Mike Martz will serve as the game’s coaches. The game will be played at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., and will air on ESPN2.
Timu, UW’s middle linebacker, earned honorable-mention All-Pac 12 honors and academic All-Pac 12 honors. He leads the team with 96 tackles heading into the Jan. 2 TicketCity Cactus Bowl in Tempe, Ariz. He also has two interceptions — both of which he returned for a touchdown — 12 passes defended and one forced fumble this year.
Since 2012, Hatchie has started every game for UW at left tackle and earned honorable mention All-Pac-12 honors the past two seasons. He also served as a team captain for two games and earned the team’s Lineman of the Game award for his performance against Hawaii.
Hudson started every game at defensive end and finished the regular season ranked seventh in the nation with 11.5 sacks, earning him honorable-mention All-Pac-12. The three-time game captain was named UW lineman of the game against Oregon State as he recorded five tackles, two of them sacks, in the win over the Beavers. The 6-3, 246-pound Hudson has 71 total tackles, with a recovered fumble and three forced fumbles.
Dixon appeared in 11 games this season, with one start at cornerback.
