On the road again?

Sure, the Dawgs look good right now, but was Sunday’s win against
Loyola-Marymount an ominous sign of things to come? Can this team win
on the road?
After watching both the Gonzaga and LMU games, my level of concern was
raised about five notches. They could not shoot the ball, they played
poor interior defense and they looked lethargic!
The Huskies have played a difficult nonconference schedule, nobody
can argue with that. The RPI has rated it as the 10th toughest so far
this season. However, three of those games were played on a neutral
court. At times in Alaska, the crowd cheered on the Huskies, and more specifically, Nate Robinson. These games did not test the Huskies’ ability to play road games in hostile environments.
UW has won three impressive games against opponents at Hec Ed, making
SPU, EWU and SDSU looking rather feeble. They also have two more
games (Sacred Heart and Houston) at home where the Dawgs will be
heavily favored. If the Dawgs can pull one out a victory against N.C. State, they will head into Pac-10 play at 10-1, and highly rated in both Top-25
polls.
Only four of their first 18 games of the season are on the road (not counting the three in Alaska). Two of those games are/were against average USC and Loyola-Marymount teams. And if Sunday’s game at LMU was any indication, it
