They love Brandon in Portland

The one good thing about the trip back from Eugene last night was being able to listen to the Trail Blazers’ win over Minnesota.
The announcers, including former KJA-AM host Brian Wheeler who is now the play-by-play guy for the Blazers, couldn’t stop raving about Roy.
Here’s a story that details how the game went and Roy’s contribution. He shot just 4-17, but also had eight assists and no turnovers and played the entire second half. He had the key play at the end, driving and then dishing out to Juan Dixon for a three-pointer that won the game.
Afterward, according to the radio guys, Brandon returned to the court and signed autographs and took pictures for what quite a while. The radio guys kept marvling at how Roy is indicative of how the Blazers are remaking their image.
Brandon’s fast start to the season, however, also makes me wonder if the Huskies might miss him even more than has been thought. We’ll see.
