Tipoff nears

This should be an interesting game tonight as UNI is one of the more underrated programs in the country. UNI has qualified for the NCAA Tournament each of the last three years and last season ranked No. 7 in the country in scoring defense, allowing 57.8 points per game. Over its last 35 games, just two teams have scored more than 70 points on the Panthers.
That means the Huskies’ offensive patience is likely to be tested.
On defense, UW is going to have to defend the perimeter as UNI is 19-40 on 3-pointers in the first two games.
And an old friend of the team is supposed to be here tonight — Bobby Jones, who is in town to play for the 76ers against the Sonics tomorrow night.
