It’s Monday, so the new college basketball polls are out. UW is 13th in the AP poll, up three spots from last week.
First, here’s the complete AP poll for this week with first-place votes in parentheses, records through Nov. 26, total points based on 25 points for a first-place vote through one point for a 25th-place vote and last week’s ranking:

Here’s my ballot for this week as I am the voter for the state of Washington this year:
, Ohio State
, UCLA
, Pittsburgh
, Alabama
, Kansas
, Florida
, Marquette
, LSU
, North Carolina
, Arizona
, Georgetown
, Texas A&M
, Duke
, Washington
, Memphis
, Butler
, Wisconsin
, Nevada
, Maryland
, Michigan State
, Syracuse
, Texas
, Wichita State
, Gonzaga
, Oregon
I moved Washington down a spot this week and admittedly maybe should have moved the likes of Maryland and Butler ahead of the Huskies given what those teams have done. But I have each of those teams higher than the general poll. You’ll notice I am again the only pollster with Oregon on the ballot this week — the Ducks had four votes last week, meaning at least one other person voted for them a week ago.
At the top, I’m sticking with Ohio State, which I had No. 2 last week. I’ve had Ohio State that high in part due to looking ahead at how good the Buckeyes should be once Greg Oden gets into the lineup — he could return any day now. We’ll know a lot more this week as Ohio State plays at North Carolina Wednesday. That game will provide a lot of clarity to the top as I will admit UCLA has done more so far than Ohio State, which has yet to play anybody of note.
