Big Baby ready for Huskies

The most intruiging aspect of Wednesday’s game is seeing how the Huskies will deal with Glen “Big Baby” Davis.
He talked after Monday’s practice and here’s what I wrote up for today’s paper.
He’s an entertaining guy, and as is always the case, he talked about a lot more than I could get in the paper. He mentioned having gotten to know Rashard Lewis of the Sonics while playing with him in a Pro-Am League, and said some talks with Lewis helped him prepare for staying at LSU for another season and using it to enhance his NBA stock.
He also talked about how excited he is about the challenge of beating a ranked team on the road and what he knows of the Huskies.
“I’ve seen them on TV a lot,” he said. “I just know they are a tough team and I know Brockman is a pretty good banger. I’m up for a battle, a war.”
I also had a note about Adrian Oliver saying he will play that didn’t make it into the paper, so here it is:
Adrian Oliver didn’t practice Monday after suffering a concussion in the first half Saturday when he was hit in the back of the head while going for a rebound. Oliver played briefly in the second half but said he couldn’t remember his mother’s name after the game. But he said he anticipates being able to practice today and playing against LSU. “I’ll be playing on Wednesday, there’s no doubt about that,” Oliver said. He said it’s the first concussion of his career.
