Pruitt hires agent

USC guard Gabe Pruitt has hired an agent, which ensures that he will remain in the NBA Draft.
That means the only Pac-10 players who have declared for the draft but have yet to close the door on coming back for another year are UW’s Spencer Hawes, Cal’s DeVon Hardin and Oregon State’s Marcel Jones. Jones is almost certainly coming back, however, with Hawes considered leaning toward leaving and Hardin more uncertain.
Here’s a list of underclassmem who have declared from DraftExpress.com.
Pruitt’s decision means USC has lost its entire regular starting backcourt — Nick Young also declared for the draft while Lodrick Stewart used up his eligibility.
The Trojans will counter the loss with the addition of several talented freshmen, most notably O.J. Mayo. But Mayo seems like such a wildcard that it’s hard to know exactly how it will all fit togther for the Trojans. For now, USC looks as if it has fallen back into the second division.
