Kings website features Hawes

Don’t know if this indicates what way the Sacramento Kings are leaning, but the team’s official website right now has a picture of Spencer Hawes on its front page.
Hawes is scheduled to work out for the Kings in a week or two — you can find more details on that in this Sacramento Bee story here. He’s apparently back on campus this week finishing up finals.
Hawes is also mentioned in this blog from Dime Magazine, which reports he was “impressive” in a short individual workout the last night of the Orlando camp.
UPDATE — Also worth noting on the Hawes front is Andy Katz’s blog today where he includes Hawes among fence-sitters likely to head to the NBA. His blog requires a subscription, but in a nutshell, Katz says that with Hawes likely to go as high as No. 9 to the Bulls “it seems less likely he would ereturn to Washington.” Katz wrote last week that Hawes wanted a guarantee of a lottery spot to stay in the draft.
