Live TV for experimental basketball game

I’ve written a couple of stories about an experimental basketball game slated for Edmundson Pavilion on Saturday, June 16 that will feature 11-foot rims, a 30-second shot clock and no three-point line until the final quarter.
It was announced today that FSN will air the game live at 1 p.m. with Brian Davis behind the mike, so those of you not able to attend will be able to see it, as well.
For more background, here’s a story with details on the history of the game and another on the involvement of former Sonics coach Bob Hill.
The game is the brainchild of former Sonics assistant Tom Newell, who is the son of legendary coach Pete Newell, who said he hopes to demonstrate how the game of basketball would be affected by modifying the existing standards and rules.
FSN also announced that it will bring statistics and analysis gathered in a unique way during the exhibition which includes the use of a handheld interactive device for those in attendance and an online voting website for those watching on FSN.
Admission to the event is free, but a suggested donation of canned food to benefit the Northwest Harvest Food Bank of Seattle . The exhibition will also be replayed on Monday June 18th at 12pm on FSN.
