Hawes impressive in Philly

I almost hesitate to post Spencer Hawes news these days since much of the feedback I get is from people saying they don’t care anymore.
But here goes for those of you still keeping tabs on the big guy.
He worked out for the 76ers today, and according to this story on the team’s official web site, did pretty well.
Team president Billy King is quoted as saying that Hawes is “very skilled, very skilled for his age. For his size, to be able to handle the ball, display a good shooting touch and post-up moves, he’s got a lot of potential.”
There’s also the obligatory quote from Hawes saying he hasn’t made up his mind yet about staying in the draft, though it’s taken as a foregone conclusion by almost everyone.
Hawes is still expected to work out for the Sacramento Kings. He has until June 18 to pull out of the draft.
EASTERN UPDATE: Also, UW assistant Jim Shaw conducted an official interview with Eastern Washington officials Tuesday in his quest to become the new head coach there.
According to this story in the Spokesman-Review, a decision is expected by the end of the week.
