Dickie V. says Huskies to be improved

Dick Vitale is showing the Huskies some major love of late, rating them in his pre-season Top 40 a few days ago, and now saying UW will be among the Top 10 most improved teams in the country this year.
His one-paragraph summation of UW doesn’t say anything we haven’t heard before, but interesting that he sees the Huskies as being better without Spencer Hawes (something that is a growing feeling around campus, as well).
Vitale also recently completed his Top 40, and as I surmised, he had both Oregon (No. 10) and UCLA (No. 5) on his list.
So to summarize, Vitale sees UW as being one of the 10 most improved teams in the country and also the No. 34 overall team in the country, yet also sees them as being the No. 7 team in the Pac-10 (behind UCLA, Oregon, Stanford, WSU, USC and Arizona, in that order).
That’s obviously more evidence of how highly-regarded the Pac-10 will be this season. Also makes you wonder if the Pac-10 could really get seven teams in the NCAA Tournament this year, something that has never happened.
