Ranking the Pac

Hare are my weekly rankings:
, UCLA — And if Kevin Love continues to play like that, they may be No. 1 in more than just the Pac-10 pretty soon. Talk last week was that they wanted to get him some more touches, and he took advantage against the Cougars.
, Washington State — Cougars’ task now is to avoid any upsets before they host UCLA Feb. 7. Interestingly, that is the kickoff game of the second half of the conference season for both teams.
, Arizona State — Hard to deny ASU right now, though the schedule has been favorable with all three conference games to date at home. ASU now has five of seven on the road which will be telling — ASU is 0-1 on the road this season, losing by 15 at Nebraska.
, Oregon — Three in a row for Ducks after a mini-slump was leading to some questions about whether they could survive without Aaron Brooks in Pac-10 play. Freshman Kamyron Brown is doing a nice job at PG.
, Arizona — Just 1-2 in Pac-10 play, but figure to be a much better team now with Jerryd Bayless back.
, Stanford — Big weekend now hosting both of the Arizona schools, followed by three in a row on the road. Three-point shooting cost it at Oregon (3-19).
, Cal — Now have 5 of 7 at home, which could determine post-season fate.
, USC — Chemistry seems a bit iffy, but there’s a lot of talent there. Game at UCLA Saturday could be a turning point.
, Washington — Good news is that six of next eight are at home.
, Oregon StateRumblings of Jay John’s demise gaining strength now.
