On Brockman and Leunen

For my main story today, I wrote about UW’s Jon Brockman and Oregon’s Maarty Leunen and their friendly rivalry after both tried out for the Pan-Am Games team last summer.
Leunen made the team and Brockman didn’t, which became a source of some controversy on this board, and others like it.
But as the story points out, Brockman has no hard feelings toward Leunen — the two apparently got along well during the down time at the tryouts — and doesn’t consider a game like Thursday’s a chance to make a point (at least not publicly).
Speaking of the Ducks, for all of your needs for info about UO — if you have any — check Bob Clark’s blog at the Eugene Register-Guard. His latest report is that freshman forward Drew Viney, who was also briefly a target of UW’s, is still out this week with an injury but getting closer.
