Ranking the Pac

Here are my updated rankings:
, UCLA — A little more fragile hold on the top spot after the loss to USC, which was the second straight mediocre defensive game for the Bruins. This could be the proverbial good loss, however, humbling the Bruins, who were talking of an undefeated Pac-10 season after the win over WSU, which seemed a bit premature.
, WSU — Cougars finally got over the Oregon hump and are also getting some consistent big games out of Derrick Low, who appears to be more assertive offensively.
, Arizona State — Nothing wrong with a split of the Bay Area trip..Big problem now is a groin injury suffered by freshman guard James Harden that could limit him this weekend against UW and WSU.
, Stanford — Brook Lopez becoming one of the elite p[layers in the conference.
, Oregon — Ducks now get five of seven at home, a time they need to cement their NCAA tourney bid.
, Arizona — Win at Cal was critical. Like Oregon, now has five of seven at home.
, USC — Looks like Tim Floyd got his message across to Davon Jefferson.
, Washington — But to be taken seriously for post-season, have to start winning on the road.
, Cal — Home game against Stanford Saturday just about a must-win with five of seven on the road after that.
, Oregon State — If team keeps playing as hard as it did Saturday, Beavers are sure to pull some upsets for Kevin Mouton.
