Cal gets off the mat

Matters don’t really get much easier for UW now as the Huskies have a day to get ready for a Cal team coming off its biggest win of the season, an upset of the Cougars in Pullman last night.
As Jeff Faurado of the San Jose Mercury News reports, the Bears did it without senior center DeVon Hardin, who stayed home due to a fever.
In his place stepped in Duke recruit Jamal Boykin, who had the best game of his short Cal career.
As Faurado reports, a decision is expected today on whether Hardin will play tomorrow against the Huskies.
Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle also has a report on the game focusing on Boykin stepping in for Hardin and stepping up for Cal.
Any road win is big, obviously, but Cal seemed on the brink of really falling out of things after starting out 2-5 in Pac-10 play. Now Cal comes to Hec Ed tomorrow with a lot of momentum,
