Jamaal Williams playing in Yakima

Former Husky Jamaal Williams was back in town Tuesday, working out with the Huskies for a day and saying he was waiting on a call to play in the Domincian Republic.
Thursday, however, he detoured through Yakima, becoming the newest member of the Yakama Sun Kings of the CBA.
Here’s a story on his game there last night, reporting he scored 10 points after showing up barely 90 minutes before game time.
The notebook reports that Williams is expected to play in Yakama’s next game Saturday in Oklahoma. Interestingly, the spot for Williams apparently opened up due to an injury to Anthony Washington, the one-time Husky and Garfield High grad who spent his final seasons at Portland State.
