A few links

A little later than normal, but here are a few links:
— After last night’s win, the Huskies are listed in the “also considered” category of ESPN’s “Bracketology” scroll — which is being updated daily now that we are getting close to the tournament. (It’s an Insider article and not available without a subscription). That’s the first time this season I can remember UW being mentioned anywhere. Author Joe Lunardi also lists the UW-ASU game as one to watch this weekend, saying it’s a “must-win” for both teams.
— The Arizona Daily Star says foul trouble really hurt the Wildcats last night. The 27 fouls called against Arizona last night tied a season-high for a Husky opponent and particularly hurt a Wildcat team that suddenly has about as little depth as any in the conference.
Steve Rivera of the Tucson Citizen says it now may be panic time for the Wildcats. Arizona could fall to 6-8 and behind UW in the standings if it doesn’t win at WSU tomorrow night.
— Arizona State comes to UW tomorrow reeling after two losses in a row and with star guard James Harden apparently bothered by back pain. For all the talk of ASU being an NCAA Tourney team, UW could move ahead of the Devils in the standings tomorrow as well as getting a season sweep.
— Somewhat oddly, Oregon State coach Kevin Mouton said the one-game suspensions of Marcel Jones and Sean Carter were NOT for what took place at UW’s practice last Friday (or the hotel parking lot, apparently) but for other, unspecified, violations of team rules. So apparently OSU has no team rule against challenging the opposing team to a fight in a parking lot the night before the game. As noted in the story, Jones didn’t shake hands with UW players afterward and that could be a reason, as well.
All for now.
