Bobby Jones to sign with Rockets

Former Husky Bobby Jones is apparently about to return to the NBA, as the Houston Chronicle is reporting today that he will sign a 10-day contract with the Rockets.
This will be the third NBA team this season for Jones, who began the year with Denver, then after being cut, was signed to two 10-day contracts by the Memphis Grizzlies, who decided not to sign him for the season.
The Sonics don’t play Houston again until April, so Jones will have to survive his 10-day contract to have a chance at playing another game here.
In Houston, one of his teammates will be former Oregon star Aaron Brooks, which could make for an initial interesting conversation.
Here is Houston’s upcoming schedule.
IN OTHER UW NEWS:
— UW coach Lorenzo Romar said today that Justin Holiday will not play in the games at Cal and Stanford but should be able to return to practice Monday. Holiday has missed the last four games with a sprained knee and ankle.
— Romar said the starting lineup is likely to remain the same.
